As a new patient, I was able to get an appointment the same day! Impressed by the aesthetics of the office building as well as the friendly staff. They were very informative via text and in person. There’s so many great adjectives I could use to describe Dr. Metz, but I highly recommend. All the pain that I’m in he still managed to make me laugh. He’s awesome!

Core orthopedic what can u say about a place that has money as it's 1st priority over it's patient. If you plan on having treatment done here plan on paying $75 up front for physical therapy. Why because it's their made up policy. So your fraudulently being charged for service u have not received yet. Gets even better if you plan on having surgery with them. They make up a number and call to demand you pay this amount by whatever day they want before your surgery. Explanation u will receive why will continue to change everytime u catch them in their lies. Best was when amount changed to what can I pay then to well it's the insurance company doing it not us. Nothing but a money hungry business not caring about patients well being. You have been warned

Will recommend this office to anyone in need. They are pleasant, confident and unnecessary procedures are not on their agenda. I had 2 family members as patients at Core Orthopedic and Dr. Metz is amazing. My son had a finger injury, where I thought he was going to loose the tip of his finger to the first knuckle. The doctor looked at it and confirmed with confidence that we will need to let it heal. No mention of expensive procedures or surgeries until it is absolutely necessary. Love the doctors, nurses and the rest of the staff at the Hoffman Estates and Elk Grove offices.

I found Core orthopedics after researching my options instead of knee replacement. Met with Dr Jeffrey murray and what I was trying to avoid was confirmed full replacement only option. Spoke for short time and new I was ready to get it done. I'm happy with the Dr , his support team and the office staff. They work the way I like things done get them done now not tomorrow.

Initial visit with CORE was on 10/30/23 from doctor's referral for a pinched nerve in my neck causing severe pain. I met with Dr. Murray, who ordered an MRI for my neck, however, he worded the request incorrectly, so BCBS denied it. The request read, "Incomplete rotator cuff tear or rupture of right shoulder". That was 100% incorrect as the pain is directly related to a pinched nerve and has nothing to do with a shoulder injury. After multiple follow-ups from my side, I never heard back from Core, other than they are working with BCBS to get it approved. Fast forward; they reached this week to schedule a 2nd visit, so they can resubmit the MRI request correctly. I went in for the appointment this morning were they demanded a 2nd $50 co-pay, even though I am only coming in due to their mistake and lack of follow-up with BCBS. I explained this to the admin checking me in and she stepped into the back to speak to someone, then relayed they will not see me unless i pay another co-pay. I refused and she told me they will not see me. It's not the money, it's the principal. They made a mistake and I am already paying for it in other ways. I've been going to the chiropractor 3-4 days a week since October to prevent the pain from recurring. That is not a permanent solution and I desperately need the MRI, so the correct treatment plan can be decided and put into play. It's incredibly unfortunate to see another doctor's office treat patients this way. They are ONLY about making money and truly could care less if the patient is receiving proper care. They refuse to admit and accept responsibility for their mistakes. Think twice before going to CORE Orthopedics and ALWAYS double check their work to ensure they are submitting correct information on your behalf.

Tore my ACL playing sports. Dr. Murray was fantastic at guiding me through the surgery process. And for physical therapy, Eric Ellis is the GOAT. Seriously, he is the best therapist around. He knows how to challenge you and keep you working towards your goal. If you want to come back stronger than ever after surgery (and YOU are willing to put in the work) Eric is the man for the job.
